Artist's Statement
Sheila Brenchley has been working with clay for approximately seven years - beginning with the Lakefield School of Fine Arts in Peterborough and the Haliburton School of Fine Arts and many sessions with various potters. Travelling to Spain to work with Simon Leach and Seth Cardew solidified her desire to be a true potter and then an excursion to South Korea to work with the local artists there - expanded all the horizons.
Sheila has developed her love of shape and form in functional stoneware pottery and begun to incorporate sculpture into her repertoire as well. Her studio and showroom allows her the freedom to explore the craft.
