3:30 pm - 5:30 pm: Teens Throwing Class – Priya – Mon Aft – Oct-Dec
October 31, 2022 @ 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm$235.00
The 6 week Kawartha Teen Throwing class is for students aged 12 to 17 interested in really getting their hands into clay! Throwing on the potter’s wheel is the main focus. Key steps, from preparing clay to throwing specific forms to glazing, are introduced through demonstrations and clear explanations. Lots of hands-on throwing
practice allows new and returning students to develop skills in making both functional and decorative pieces. Students learn about the nature of clay, the origins of pottery, and technical aspects such as how to trim, finish edges, and add surface decoration to enhance their creations. Teens become potters here!”
Cost for this 6 week class is $235.00 per person. This class runs Mondays, from October 31 – December 5, 2022, from 3:30 – 5:30 pm.
Please note, all classes scheduled from Friday – Monday may fall subject to a holiday. It is up to the teacher and students to determine if class will be held on the day in question. Should this occur, and you are registered, you will be informed immediately of this change.

We request that if you feel sick to any degree, that you do not come to class, and to notify the Guild or your teacher. Arrangements for make up classes, in this circumstance can be made through your teacher, where possible. Please note that the Peterborough County Health Unit does require that masks be worn indoors in public spaces.
