DESCRIPTION:Led by Karina Bates\, this is a drop-in\, members only class for continuing and advanced students.  If you have your own studio or are taking classes and are having a particular issue with a wheel-throwing\, finishing\, decorating or glazing technique\, this class is for you.  Are you having issues with lids not fitting?  Do you want to work on a particular shape?  Are you having glaze issues or S cracks?  \nTo register\, please contact Kendra at least 5 days before the Friday you wish to attend\, with a description of the problem you are having and/or the help you are requesting.  Please only book one issue per class.  \nYou are expected to bring all your tools\, batts\, clay\, and any example pieces or work-in-progress.  Items made during this class will not be stored at the Guild.  (Please note that those students currently taking other classes or those with studio privileges are exempt from this restriction). \nTo register: Email administrator@kawarthapottersguild.com or come into the Guild\, e-transfer or payment at the Guild is accepted. \nCost is $50.00 per class and classes will take place from 12pm-2:30pm the first Friday of each month.

Continuous learning is a mantra that Heather lives by.  Over the years she has learned from numerous teachers and participated in many workshops.  In 2022 she completed a mentorship program at KPG with Darlene Malcolm-Moran and in 2023 travelled to Korea to learn from the Korean Masters. This is the class for you!\nJoin the talented Sue Flanagan as she walks you through painting beautiful images on ceramic trays and pots. No past experience required! Just bring your imagination and Sue will guide you through every step. All materials and paint supplies will be provided.  \nWeek one: Make slab built trays and plates for painting on. Talk about design ideas and start planning. (2.5 hours 10:30am-1pm) \nWeeks two & three: Plan layout/design\, outline images\, and start painting. Paintings can be accented with carving if desired. SUMMARY:Clay Play on the Wheel: One Day Potter’s Wheel Experience
DESCRIPTION:Learn to throw down some pottery at our one-day wheel class! You’ll dive right into the basics of the pottery wheel and come away with your new favourite bowl\, cup\, or vase. This will be a very hands-on class\, so come prepared for a bit of mud and a lot of fun! All materials and tools will be provided. We will trim your pieces\, gaze\, and fire them to be picked up 3-4 weeks after your class. This class in intended for adults\, teens aged 14+ are welcome if accompanied. \n• 7 students max- for hands on personalized instruction \n• learn to center\, open\, pull walls to make simple shapes like bowls/cups \n• keep 2-3 finished pieces (you choose glaze colour) \n• Small fee to keep more pieces as Kristina will have to trim and glaze\, $5 per piece \n1:00PM – 3:30PM  SATURDAY APRIL 11th \n$85/person + HST = $96.05 Total \nLove the experience?
