This will be a very hands on class so come prepared for a bit of mud and allot of fun! All materials and tools will be provided. We will trim your pieces\, gaze\, and fire them to be picked up 3-4 weeks after your class. This class in intended for adults\, teens aged 14+ are welcome if accompanied. \n• 7 students max- for hands on personalized instruction \n• learn to center\, open\, pull walls to make simple shapes like bowls/cups \n• keep at least one finished piece (you choose glaze colour) \n• Small fee to keep more pieces as Kristina will have to trim and glaze\, $8 per piece \nLove the experience? DESCRIPTION:Led by Karina Bates\, this is a drop-in\, members only class for continuing and advanced students.  If you have your own studio or are taking classes and are having a particular issue with a wheel-throwing\, finishing\, decorating or glazing technique\, this class is for you.  Are you having issues with lids not fitting?  Do you want to work on a particular shape?  Are you having glaze issues or S cracks?  \nTo register\, please contact Kendra at least 5 days before the Friday you wish to attend\, with a description of the problem you are having and/or the help you are requesting.  Please only book one issue per class.  \nYou are expected to bring all your tools\, batts\, clay\, and any example pieces or work-in-progress.  Items made during this class will not be stored at the Guild.  (Please note that those students currently taking other classes or those with studio privileges are exempt from this restriction). \nTo register: Email administrator@kawarthapottersguild.com or come into the Guild\, e-transfer or payment at the Guild is accepted. \nCost is $50.00 per class and classes will take place from 12pm-2:30pm the first Friday of each month.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special Valentines Day hands-on workshop where you’ll create a beautiful & unique serving tray!  \nFriends\, Couples\, and Self Lovers All Welcome!  \nYou’ll shape your piece from clay\, then explore a variety of texture tools to add surface details and make it uniquely yours. After decorating\, you’ll choose a clear or coloured glaze for a smooth\, food-safe finish. \nYour finished platter will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup about three weeks after the workshop. The perfect handmade piece for serving (or showing off!) \nPlease note: the platter you create may differ from the one pictured — each piece is uniquely yours. \nDon’t miss out—register today to secure your spot to play with clay! \nThis one off class runs Saturday afternoon from 1:00 p.m.- 3:30pm  Cost is $84.75 (tax included) per person.  This includes all materials\, finishing and firing. \nRefund Policy: \nNo refund will be given if notice of withdrawal is not received at least 10 days in advance of the start date.
