SUMMARY:Thursday Morning - Beginner/Intermediate Wheel
DESCRIPTION:Discover the joy of clay in our 6-week Beginner/Intermediate Pottery Class! Whether you’re just starting out or looking to build on basic skills\, this hands-on course will guide you through throwing techniques in a relaxed\, supportive studio environment. You’ll create functional and decorative pieces\, learn glazing and finishing tips\, and gain confidence in your creativity. All materials are included—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to get a little dirty! Class sizes are capped at  6 students to allow for lots of hands-on instruction. \nFees: \nPayments can be made by e-transfer (preferred) or PayPal  \nAs a not-for-profit PayPal fees can cut into slim operating budget- payment by e-transfers are greatly appreciated! \nMember Fee (with tax): $378.55 must be paid via e-transfer to administrator@kawarthapottersguild.com \nNon-Member Fee (with tax): $412.45  send e-transfer to administrator@kawarthapottersguild.com \nInstructor: Heather Brooks \nHeather’s first experience with clay was in 2005 and she hasn’t stopped working in clay since that introduction so long ago!  She finds working in clay both grounding and meditative. Continuous learning is a mantra that Heather lives by.  Over the years she has learned from numerous teachers and participated in many workshops.  In 2022 she completed a mentorship program at KPG with Darlene Malcolm-Moran and in 2023 travelled to Korea to learn from the Korean Masters. Heather has been a member of KPG since 2015 and you can find her pottery the Guild’s shop.
