Annual Holiday Sale 2023

KPG is proud to announce we will be hosting a Holiday Sale from November 24- 26. This is the perfect time to get a locally crafted mug as gift to someone special (yourself included!). KPG members already know the joy and want to share the experience of drinking your morning cup of joe or cozying up with a hot chocolate in a handmade mug While you’re at guild, don’t just limit yourself to mug as there will also be ornaments, bowls, plates and a variety of creative pieces. There is lots of FREE parking  at our 993 Talwood location so make sure to tell your friends to come on down. The admission to this even is an optional donation of a new pair of socks which will be given to Socks Peterborough or a non perishable items that will be given to Peterborough food share.

Past Events

Celebrate Ceramics Returns!

Celebrate Ceramics will be held the evening of Friday June 2, 2023 at the Peterborough Lions Club.  It promises to be a fun evening with live music, delicious appetizers and of course, the main attraction, beautiful pottery and every Guest Ticket holder will leave the event with a piece of pottery valued at more than $80.00. The money raised from this event enables the Guild to provide ceramic arts education for all ages and supports the continued advancement of ceramic arts.  
 
Tickets for this event are limited and will be available in March.  Mark the date on your calendar so you don’t miss out on this fabulous event! 
 
Guest Tickets are $80.00 + HST and Friend Tickets for $25.00 + HST.

KPG’s 2023 Spring Sale

Time to freshen up the house or brighten someone’s day with a locally made ceramic piece. Our annual Spring Sale will be happening April 21-23 at the Guild ( 993 Talwood Drive, Peterborough ) there is no admission fee and lots of free parking so bring your friends to get pieces in every hue and shake off those winter blues!

Hours are:

Friday April 21 10am-6pm

Saturday April 22 10am-5pm

Sunday April 23 10am-4pm

19th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Join KPG in supporting the YWCA’s Empty Bowl Fundraiser on February 25th, 2023 located at the Venue, Peterborough. The money raised by this event will help address food insecurity by supporting local YWCA Nourish Food Programs. The bowls for the event have been handmade and donated by local artisans. Tickets  include choosing one ceramic or wooden bowl from a  large selection and receiving coupons from local restaurants. 2022 KPG Holiday Show and Sale

Mark your calendars and clear your schedules for the upcoming KPG Holiday Show and Sale! You can find the perfect gift this holiday for someone special or treat yourself with a selection of locally made ceramic pieces.

This event will take place at the Kawartha Potters Guild location (993 Talwood Dr., Peterborough) on the following days:

Friday December 2nd from 10 –  6

Saturday December 3rd from 10 – 5

Sunday December 4th from 10 – 4

Kawartha Potters Guild is also supporting Socks Peterborough during our Holiday Show and Sale. Donations of new socks for children, women and men would be greatly appreciated. Socks Peterborough will distribute them to approximately 10-12 local organizations. Thank you in advance for your donation.

We do have sanitizer at the door, which you will be asked to use, and masks inside the building are mandatory for entry. We are also doing contact tracing, so you will be asked to provide your information upon entry. 

We look forward to welcoming you to our 27th Annual Holiday Show and Sale and hope you find that one of a kind gift for those hard to buy individuals on your holiday shopping list!

2022 KPG’s Spring Sale!

Spring is when nature shakes off the winter blues and decorates itself with pops of colour, so why not do the same for your home by visiting our Spring Sale. With beautiful work made by local artists it’s the perfect place to find a unique gift for mom or to treat yourself!  Taking place at our Talwood location, this sale runs starting at noon – 6pm, Friday April 29, and running Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. both days.  We have a great selection of potters participating and the pottery shop will be open for your perusal as well.  There will be no appointments necessary for this sale, but please note – masking is required in our premises.

During Covid, we ask that you book your appointment time using this form.  Each appointment time slot allows for a maximum of 8 visitors in the sale area at any one time.  Please be aware that each appointment time slot is one half hour long.  Please keep this in mind for other waiting customers.  We are allowing for drop-in visits if the time slot is not full.  Should you wish to take your chances, please drop by during the hours of noon to 7 pm. Monday to Friday and 10 am to 5 pm on weekends.

2021 Spring Mother’s Day Sale cancelled due to Covid-19

Despite our best efforts, due to the current lockdown, unfortunately our Spring Sale planned for the Mother’s Day weekend is cancelled. The Committee is still hopeful that we can reschedule the Sale for some time mid-June. Keep visiting our site for updates!

2020 Holiday Show and Sale!

2020 Spring Sale cancelled due to Covid-19

In order to comply with government restrictions and maintain social distancing, we are cancelling our Spring Sale which was scheduled for May 1 and 2. We will consider other options over the coming weeks. Our Pottery Shop (closed for now) has many beautiful items and once we are able to reopen, you can shop there for any of your gift giving needs which is open year round as well.
 

 

2019 Annual Holiday Sale

Our Holiday Sale is taking place Friday, November 29, 2 – 8 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Sunday, December 1, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.   This sale is Peterborough tradition with many families returning from out of town to stop in and visit, catch up and find unique Holiday gifts for everyone.

2019 Spring Sale 

Our Spring Sale is happening Friday May 3, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 4, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A wide variety of pottery will be available for your gift giving needs. Pottery is a unique and personal gift, ideal for wedding, shower, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, teachers, birthdays or hostess gifts, and don’t forget to treat yourself!!  Admission is free and will include a chance to win an awesome door prize! 2017 Mother’s Day Sale

This was the first sale we’ve had at our own location.  It was a trial and we will be deciding soon whether this is where all of our shows will be.  Here are the group that were part of our May 5 – 6 show this year.

2016 Christmas Show

Thank you to all who came to our show on November 25 – 27th, 2016 at the Peterborough Lion’s Club.  We had a great time and it was lovely seeing everyone.
