Covid-19 Protocols and Classes – Update February 18, 2021
Due to the Lockdown and uncertainly over opening dates, the Guild has decided to delay the beginning of the next regular session (previously scheduled to begin in January) to the week of March 22. If you are registered already for this class, your registration applies to the revised date. Please note that this does not apply to Darlene’s Advanced classes. If the schedule change no longer works for you, please contact our Administrator, Donna.
KPG volunteers and staff continue to work hard to modify the studio and class areas to meet with Peterborough County’s Health guidelines. There is a sanitation station at the front door and a contact tracing protocol. Class sizes for both wheel and hand building have been reduced to meet distance requirements. This means every class is a bit more intimate than our previous sessions in the before times, but there may not be space in your favourite day or time.
We have expanded our regular as well as new sessions below and are prepared to offer other days and times if there is enough demand. If you have questions in this regard or have a specific day of the week or time in mind (morning, aft, evening) to request, please contact our Administrator, Donna.
Please note that new classes scheduled on Mondays, Fridays or Saturdays may be interrupted by holidays. This is taken into account in the listed start and end dates of these particular classes.
Online we accept PayPal which allows you to pay with Visa and MasterCard without the need for a PayPal account – and you can pay with cash, cheque, debit or credit card in person.

2021 Winter Session (March – May)
Due to the most recent Ontario lockdown, we are not allowed to consider opening again until February 11. The teachers and Board are currently discussing how best to plan these classes and we will update you here and via email once we have decided. Obviously, any extended lockdowns/closures may impact any of these decisions, so bear with us and keep this page bookmarked for more information as we receive it.
Sessions are 6 weeks long unless otherwise noted. Start times for most of our classes have changed, please note this before registering. If the start date has already passed, you can pay for a pro-rated number of remaining weeks, but you must do so either in our Pottery Shop or by contacting our Administrator Donna, below.
Due to Covid-19, and the possibility of a bump in cases after the Holidays, the Guild reserves the right to postpone the beginning of this session of classes in consultation with the Board of Health. Should this occur, and you are registered, you will be informed immediately of this change and we will post information on this page.
Members please note that you can again register for class with a 10% discount off a full 6 week class. To do so, please contact our Administration (below) to enquire about paying by etransfer.
We are prepared to add new classes on different days and times. Should you wish to take a class and your first option is already full or your schedule needs a different day, please contact our Administrator Donna to discuss this.

Class Evaluation Forms: Instructors will hand out these Evaluation forms during the course session. It is very helpful for us if you fill them in and hand them in to the front desk or to the instructor at the end of the class or session (if you are taking a course of lessons). This helps us improve our teaching and the content of the courses.
A Note to Members
If possible, members are asked to pay in person with cash or cheque in order to reduce administrative fees.
To avoid disappointment, we ask that you register early for a class to guarantee your spot. Please note that no reservation is secured unless accompanied by a payment. This is to ensure fairness in class availability as all of our classes are becoming very popular and are filling up quickly. Payment can be made in person or online.
We are a non-profit organization. All fees from classes, workshops, and pottery sales are used for the operation of the guild and we strive to keep the costs as low as possible.
