The total amount will show below your details. When you click Submit, the form will take you to our PayPal page where you can pay by PayPal or the credit card of your choice.
You may sign up online with the payment process below, or visit us at 993 Talwood during our gallery opening hours and pay in person. Online, we accept PayPal, Visa and MasterCard, and you can pay with cash, cheque, debit or credit card in person. We also accept payment over the phone for Visa & MasterCard during business hours.
We have a new bursary application!
This is a new program:
"To encourage and develop an interest in ceramic arts in those who may not have the resources to participate in our programs."
So anyone who is interested in our programs, may apply for a bursary. Of course, not everyone will qualify and we have limited funds to distribute. To apply, you can download the application form.
Members are asked to please pay in person with cash or cheque in order to save fees, and receive your full discount.

To avoid disappointment, we ask that you register early for a class to guarantee your spot. Please note that no reservation is secured unless accompanied by a payment. This is to ensure fairness in class availability as all of our classes are becoming very popular and are filling up quickly. Payment can be made in person or online through the form below.

Our May classes are now available for enrollment online. Please know that these classes fill up quickly! We also have set up different levels, so take a look! HST is applicable on all adult classes.
Beginners (Pottery 1)
- Wednesdays - Afternoon, 12:30 - 3 p.m.
- Wednesdays - Evening, 6:30 - 9 p.m.
- Thursdays - Evening, 6:30 - 9 p.m.
No prerequisite required. This is for those who have never attempted to work with clay before, or a good refresher course for someone who has been away from clay for a while. All the basics of throwing and handbuilding will be addressed in this course.
- Tuesdays - Afternoon, 12:30 - 3 p.m.
Prerequisite: Must have taken at least 2 previous classes and be able to centre clay while throwing.
Advanced Pottery (Pottery 3)
- Tuesdays - Evening, 6:30 - 9 p.m.
Prerequisite: Must have taken the equivalent of one Pottery 2 level course, or be able throw a 5" cylinder.
Handbuilding - Basic-Intermediate Program - Adult (18 +)
- Thursdays - Afternoon, 12:30 - 3 p.m.
- Thursdays - Evening, 6:30 - 9 p.m.
Designed for beginners and Intermediate potters and covers hand built and / or sculptural work using various techniques. Students will mostly work with slabs, slump molds and coils.
The goal of this class is to provide the basic skills to enable students to start creating their own pottery both functional and non functional.
After School Sessions 2017
Wednesdays, 4 pm to 5:45 pm
This course is for 7 to 13 year-olds, handbuilding clay pieces and learning to throw on the wheel. (November/December period is just four weeks to accommodate Christmas period.)
We ask that parents please fill out our Emergency Contact Form here. You can fill it out and bring it with you on the first day. Please also let us know your child's age (below the box on the sign up form) to help us with programming.
The price of $190. includes all clay, firing and glazes. (for our 8-week classes)
3:30 - 5:30pm Tuesday Afternoons
This class focuses on throwing and the complete process of ceramics, from clay to glazing.
The price of $230. includes all clay, firing and glazes. (for our 8-week classes)
Please note: There is a subsidy available for qualified applicants. (This is for children under the age of 19 only.) For more information please contact the City of Peterborough, Subsidy Program details or call Recreation Division at 705-742-7777 ext. 1827.
This is something that you must discuss with the City, as we ourselves cannot apply any subsidies directly.
All Family Clay Days are from 1:30pm - 3:00pm. We ask that you please register and pay 48 hours ahead of time to ensure your place. Price is $25. per person. We encourage parents to register with their children to make things together (parents can make a different project than the children). However Family Clay is open to anyone over six.
Projects can be changed without notice and to the student's wishes within reason.

Refund Policy: No refund will be given for a course, class, program or workshop if notice of withdrawal is not received at least 10 days in advance of commencement. All refunds are subject to an administration fee of 20%. Any refund can be transferred to another class or towards the purchase of items in the Gallery.
Prepayment with Registration is required for all classes and workshops. If cancelled due to insufficient enrollment or for other unforeseen circumstances, the registered participant’s payment will be returned. Participants may choose to transfer their payment to another class or items in the Gallery.
Bursary for Kawartha Potter's Guild programs: Established in 2016, the Kawartha Potters Guild Bursary encourages students to develop an appreciation for the ceramic arts. The Kawartha Potters Guild is committed to making quality ceramic arts education accessible to all; regardless of age, culture, gender, ability, or financial circumstances.
If you qualify as a low or middle income family (based on CRA standards), you may be eligible for full or partial bursaries. (see information above)
Class Evaluation Forms: Instructors will hand out these Evaluation forms during the course session. It is very helpful for us if you fill them in and hand them in to the front desk or to the instructor at the end of the class or session (if you are taking a course of lessons). This helps us improve our teaching and the content of the courses.
