Celebrate Ceramics – Have you got your ticket?

There are only a few tickets left for our very first fundraiser and it is looking to be a great evening!  This will be a memorable evening with live music, complimentary food, and beautiful pottery to admire! With each $75 ticket you will be able to select a piece of pottery to take home with you. Be sure to get your ticket today. They can be purchased at the Kawartha Potters Guild located at 933 Talwood Dr. in Peterborough (open Tuesday to Friday: 1-5pm).  Celebrate Ceramics is on Friday April 8, 2022, 7-9pm at the Lions Centre in Peterborough.

You could choose from many beautiful, one-of-a-kind items including this Teresa Dunlop creation.  This beautiful basket exhibits Teresa’s skill as a ceramic artist as the body, base and double-handle are wheel thrown as separate pieces, then altered and assembled. This piece has been wood fired, giving it depth of colour followed by sandblasting which makes the piece supple to the touch.

Teresa Dunlop is a maker of function and sculptural ceramics most of which begin on the wheel and are then assembled and altered.
